Train of Thought

"Don't chaise people. be yourself, do you own thing and work hard. The right people - the ones who really belong in your life - will come to you. And stay." - Will smith
Unit 7: Interactive
Introduction task
Merry berry task
Before this day, I have never used InDesign before. I had to copy an instruction list, which helped me understand how to use InDesign when it came to the Merry Berry task that we had to copy.

Test shoot
Me, Emily and Barn went into the studio to do some photography with sweets. We used some collared sheets to make the background more visible. Blue set up the lights for us, so that all we had to do was take the pictures of the sweets.
Deconstructions
They all basically say the same thing, but some are more detailed than others.

Mind map 2
I think I would prefer to do my first idea because there is more detail and I know a lot more about plastic pollution.
Explaining lighting with interview
What we did
For this Emily was the person explaining what we needed to do, I fiddled with the lights to make Josh not look flat or unseen. Josh just sat on the chair and Henry watched us do some things. Blue had already set up the lights, so all we needed to do was say what she told us and turn some lights down to make josh not look flat.
Experimenting lighting with photography
What we did
For this we all took part in being in front of the camera apart from me who took pictures of both Emily and Henry. we all took terns in holding the reflector and moving the lights. I was the only one not to be in front of the camera because it was the end of the day and we needed to leave time for uploading the pictures on at least one persons computer.

What I did

For this I went on a shoot on the moors and took a video of a bottle in stream. This was for my magazine, I did 5 takes of my mum chucking the plastic bottle in the stream to show what happens when a plastic bottle is either chucked, blown or washed into a stream. Then I edited it in Premier pro to show how the plastic bottle gets into the ocean and gets dragged into plastic island. I only took a video of the plastic bottle in the stream, because if I chucked a bottle in a river or the ocean, I would never get it back and I, myself would be littering. Every time I filmed the bottle in the stream, I had to run after it, which is why I only did 5 takes of it. I was also going to go to the beach to take pictures of a plastic bottle where it is really pretty, but since I was on the moors, I decided to take a picture there because it looked really moody that day.

Online version of my development of my final product
One of the arrows wasn't working and the graphics that moved in from the left and right wasn't working properly and appeared way to many times.
I fixed the arrow problem and took away the middle arrows because they weren't needed. I solved the problem of the graphics appearing way to many times, but its being annoying and taking forever to appear.
I realised that the bubbles that when clicked on, took you to the wrong pages. this meant that I had to fix them.
I fixed the facts button that had to appear at a certain time. I just pressed the button that said 'on page click' so the viewer has to click on the page manually to see the facts appear from the sides.
Some of the links where taking you to the wrong page. I fixed all of them, apart from the Westcountry rivers Trust link, which is not working, no matter how many times I publish it.
I changed one of the actions to a pulse to make it stand out more. Also, one of the pictures wasn't clear, so I changed that.
Just encase people didn't know, I put a click me button, so people knew to click the page and then the animation would start.
Ha-ha, I solved the stupid gap thing that the front cover was making.
YESSSS! I finally got all the hyperlinks working! Woohoo!
Previously, the cover looked shit and not very interesting, so I tried to replicate the picture that I took inspiration from. Thanks to Chris, I did it.
For the bleed lines. Just in case the bleed lines are cut out, I don't want the text to seem too far down.
I added some sub titles to make the front cover look so much better and interesting. The earth in the 'O' was also blocking the 'I' so I moved it so it was only covering the 'O'.
For this I accidently deleted the magazine that I finished, but luckily I was able to find a magazine that didn't have the finished front cover on. This made me copy the phrases from the link in the previous version of this magazine. Then I made the phrases and quotes on the front cover appear. I then made all the links in the history of pollution page appear in order and then made the titles on the last page into graphics by making them come in from the sides. Also, Blue changed the title from POLLUTION POLLUTION to just POLLUTION.
The history of pollution page links, where taking forever to page load, so Blue helped me fix that. Also the front cover picture looked glitchy, so I made it high quality performance.
