Presenting the Pitch

Unit 13: FMP - Final Major Project

Idea's for FMP

UAL document

Week 1

We started this unit on Thursday, as we are still continuing to do the previous project and we all where just finishing off what we had to before half term ended on Tuesday and Wednesday. Despite this the edit for Script to screen hasn't finished and we will continue with it in between doing FMP. Anyway on Thursday, I came up with 3 ideas, which are equally good as each other and when I had my one to one with Blue, she said my short film idea was very ambitious and she said both my 1st and second idea both sounded very interesting, I would obviously like to do my short film, but if I cant do that, I will have to go ahead with my second idea with Elliot, which he said he would want to do, however he dose take quite a while to respond to my texts, so I might have to do my 3rd idea. With that one, I am going to London with Grandad anyway, so I could have that to fall back on if my first 2 ideas go wrong somehow.

Week 2

This week, I had to change my idea to the Documentary with Elliot as I realized I had absolutely no actors for the short film. This meant that I had to Change my Pitch presentation, even though I had almost finished it to fit my short film idea. That goes the same with my treatment as I almost finished that as well. This week was very annoying as I had been texting with Elliot to confirm a date, which took ages as I text back straight away and he responds about 2 days later. But Hopefully if we can confirm a date, I would be able to do the documentary on him.

Feasibility study's

Short film

Elliot documentary

Pipers vintage Promo

Mind maps

These two are unfinished as I realised that I couldn't do the short film because I had no actors and I couldn't do the documentary on Elliot because I wouldn't be able to get the marks without getting B-Roll footage of him on stage performing or him teaching.

Week 3

This week, I had to change my idea again as the documentary with Eliot wouldn't have given me the marks. My and Chis had a conversation about my 3rd idea about the research thing about Grandad and both agreed that I am going to London with Grandad, but we may not actually end up finding anything about his dad, I also had literally just done a documentary on Grandad and Chris thought it would be too similar to research anything about. Then Emily said I could do a documentary on the woman who owns the pipers vintage shop as it would help Emily, because the women who owns the shop is giving Emily quite a lot of work to do and by giving me the documentary, it would take a lot of wait off of Emily's shoulders. At the same time, Chris offered me to film a documentary on a school and I may do that if the I am not able to do the Pipers Vintage documentary for what ever reason. At the same time as doing my pitch for my short film idea and my documentary on Eliot idea, I started feasibility studies for both. They are not completed, but since I started them, I thought I may as well add them to WIX as evidence.

When I did this there was a strike on, which meant that not may people where in to hear me pitch. I only pitched infront of Blue and Courtney, who was more focused on doing her work and not me dong my pitch. At the begining before Blue turned on the camera, I asked if I shold talk about my other 3 ideas that didnt work out, she said I should breefly talk about them, she also told me to say a bunch of other things, but she says them so fast and she dose this thing where she gives me so much information at once that I dont prosses it. I knew what I was going to say, but when she did that I couldnt think of what to say, which makes me look like I have no idea what my previous ideas where and I had a lot to say about them, but because she gave me a lot of information, I lost all the words and it may have come across on camera that I looked really nervous, but there was no one in the class so I was fine.

Week 4

On Thursday When I did my pitch, there was a strike on, which meant that not may people where in to hear me pitch. I only pitched in front of Blue and Courtney, who was more focused on doing her work and not me dong my pitch. At the beginning before Blue turned on the camera, I asked if I should talk about my other 3 ideas that didn't work out, she said I should briefly talk about them, she also told me to say a bunch of other things, but she says them so fast and she dose this thing where she gives me so much information at once that I don't prosses it. I knew what I was going to say, but when she did that I couldn't think of what to say, which makes me look like I have no idea what my previous ideas where and I had a lot to say about them, but because she gave me a lot of information, I lost all the words and it may have come across on camera that I looked really nervous, but there was no one in the class so I was fine. In this same week I finished both my deconstructions, which contained 3 Extra deconstructions within them, I did this to give myself a better understanding into what I needed to shoot and how I could edit it. On Friday last period me and Emily did a test shoot in the studio, with Blues help, telling Emily how to set up the lighting in the studio. Next week I will do an edit with the footage I shot, put it on YouTube and do an evaluation on it.

Today dad took me to Emily's house and when I got there, I put on the dress she wanted me to put on, then immediately went to the first location. The first location was a house that Emily's mum was cleaning. That house was very pretty and if it is not being used when we want to shoot in the easer holiday's, we defiantly want to go back and shoot some models with some of the shops vintage cloths in there as it was probably the prettiest vintage looking house I have ever been in. Anyway, we shot in several different rooms, used some of the thing in the house as props, like the tea set, the puzzle and the flowers, then we went back to Emily's to have lunch. After that, Emily made my put on a bunch of cloths and a dress over the top, then we got in her dads car and she drove with her dad next to her to a tower that she shot Lauran at in a fun shoot she and Lauren did in the summer last year. It was very windy, so windy if we leaned into the wind, we would probably look as if we where flying. Anyway, we spent an hour there and then walked back to Emily's mum's car and she drove me and Emily back to her house, where Emily got me to change out of the dress I was wearing for the shoot outside and wear my normal cloths to the next 2 locations which where both houses. They where not as pretty as the first 2, but they still looked good enough to do a test shoot. When we got to them, Emily got me to change into the 3rd dress and then we did a test shoot in those 2 houses. Then we went back to Emily's house, I changed out of the dress and then Emily got in her dads car and with her dad next to her she drove me home. Technically the video I edited, was some of Emily footage, but I just needed an edit to show how I would collar grade on location, now I only used one clip that Emily shot, I edited a bunch of other clips that I shot in and after the easter holidays, only because Emily was touchy about me using her footage to do a collar grading test edit. I finally finished the edit on the 5th of May when I didn’t have much to do and still had to finish the edit which only took a few minuets to do.

Today I did a test shoot with Chris, to begin with he got me to take out some kit that I didnt actually need because he didn't quite understand what I wanted to film. But once I showed him the videos that I deconstrucated, he had a better understanding about what I wanted to do, so I then took all the kit that he previously told me to get out, back in the store and got out the kit I did need. Then we set up the gimble with a masive lense, which was very heavy when I filmed with it. When it was set, we walked down to the end of the hall and filmed the manicans with cool cloths on them. It was very difficult because I couldnt hold it properly because the gimble was so heavy with the masive lense on the camera. Also, the things that Chris told me to film was very high up and when I had to film it, I had to rase my arms over my head so far that I couldn't see what I was filming. The hight combined with the wait made my arms hurt and made the shots look julty. When I film in the easter holdays, I will not use such a masive lense and the things I would be shooting wouldnt be as high up, so it would probely look way better. When we finished, we took the kit back to the store and I started doing a colar grading edit, which I may use when I am editing the actual promo. I used muisc over the top as well in the video, but the music I used, I dont think I would use when I'm actually editing the promo. To be fair I didnt really look very hard when looking for instramental music for a test edit, I just wanted music to make the video less quiet and boring.

houses. They where not as pretty as the first 2, but they still looked good enough to do a test shoot. Then we went back to Emily's house, I changed out of the dress and then Emily got in her dads car and with her dad next to her she drove me home. I got home at about 6:00. Wednesday I Continued with my Treatment from home because I needed to finish it and have been distracted with other paperwork, so I really needed to finish it and if I was to go into college, it would have been a massive waist of my time as it usually is. Thursday I did a test shoot with Chris. To begin with he got me to take out some kit that I didn't actually need because he didn't quite understand what I wanted to film. But once I showed him the videos that I deconstructed, he had a better understanding about what I wanted to do, so I then took all the kit that he previously told me to get out, back in the store and got out the kit I did need. The hight combined with the wait made my arms hurt and made the shots look jolty. I used music over the top as well in the video, but the music I used, I don't think I would use when I'm actually editing the promo. To be fair I didn't really look very hard when looking for instrumental music for a test edit, I just wanted music to make the video less quiet and boring. I then uploaded the video onto YouTube then uploaded that to WIX. I also did a BTS video that I took the previous day of the test shoot that me and Emily did in Padstow. I did this because We can no longer put pictures onto WIX without taking up a lot of its storage, so making a video and uploading it to WIX with a link solved the problem. Then I edited a video of all the footage of the test shoot I did with Chris and for some reason it refused to Export a 7 minuet video, which is weird because previously I have exported way longer videos. Anyway, after a few try's I exported a shorter video with the clips in the video sped up to 150 to 200%, which made the video 5 minuets. Then on Friday I started writing a Recce of the shop and questions to ask the owner of the shop which would help both mine and Emily's research. Then my dad took me and Emily to the shop and she aloud us to pick out more clothing and other materials in our shop to hire out next week, I took some Recce pictures of the shop and asked the owner questions for our research while Emily picked out the cloths and took pictures of them. Then at 1:00 my dad picked us both up and dropped us back to college, where I then continued to write the Recce of the shop and a risk assessment of all the locations. I finished and uploaded those 2 things on to WIX on Saturday. I also started and finished drawing a rough story bored on Saturday and started and finished a rough shot list based on my story bored on Sunday. what is next to do is to upload those things onto WIX and write a contingency plan and call sheets, then upload those to WIX, I also need to do my own edit of the test shoot I did with Emily, then next week on Wednesday go with Emily to hire out the cloths and film some things for the promo in the shop.

Today my dad drove me to the shop. Emily took the bus to the shop, and we met there. When Emily got there, I had already been there about 10 minutes signing a thing that the owner of the shop asked me to sign because I am 18 and therefore responsible for taking out the cloths and if they get damaged, I would be responsible. Then after that Emily and the owner of the shop was getting out cloths and putting them in the front. Because there was so much in the front and in the way, I couldn’t film everything I wanted to. So, most of what I got was close ups of things. I would obviously go back to film in the Easter holidays at some point, so I can get what I want to film then. Anyway, dad dropped Emily at her house and we both carry all the cloths that we put in the car in Emily's house and then dad took me home. When I got to college the nest day, I then edited some of the footage I got on Premier and edited it to a beat, I quickly collared it and put an over lay over the footage, this gave me a rough idea of what I wanted the footage to look like, when I actually edited it. I finished the edit just before the Easter holidays started.

Shoot day 1

Video BTS

1st April, today I got my neighbour to drive me up to the Asda bus stop in Bodmin. There I waited for the bus which took me to Padstow. When it got to waidbridge, Lauren got on, so we walked down to Emily's house together. We got there at 12:30 where Emily was already waiting for us after she had literally just gotten off work. Then we immediately packed Emily's mum's car up with Kit and cloths. This took about 20 minutes and after many struggles with the new small gimble previously, I was finally able to set it up in the 20 minuets that we packed the car with the kit and cloths. Then Emily's mum drove us to Emily's grandad’s house. This is where we unloaded all the kit and cloths. Lauren then changed into one of the dresses in the spare bedroom and then Emily did her shoot as I filmed for my promo at the same time. We tried all sorts of positions on the sofa in Emily's grandads house, which only took an hour, which was quicker than we had previously thought. We bought a second dress with us and shot with that one in a different position in the front room and in the dining room, which took another hour. We only bought 2 dresses with us, which was a shame because we had enough time to shoot with a 3rd and possibly a 4th dress. But instead, we packed up and Emily's mum took us back to Emily's house. There Lauren waited for her mum to pick her up and take her home and then Emily's mum took me to the bus stop which when the bus got there, it took me back to the Asda bus stop in Bodmin, which is where I walked back home. I got home at 17:50, I only took the bus because my dad was at Wemberly watching the football. Tomorrow, we are shooting again, but I only think we have time to shoot with 1 dress because Emily has work in the morning and Lauren is shooting for her project in the evening.

Shoot day 2

2nd April, my dad was still in Weberly watching the football, so I texted my neighbour if he could drop me at the bus stop again, but he didn’t respond, so I had to walk. I started walking up 40 minutes before the bus came, but I sped walked and ran some parts of the way as if I didn’t I would have missed the bus, luckily I got there 10 minutes before the bus came at 14:10, like yesterday I met Lauren on the bus and we walked down to Emily's house together, we got there at 15:10. Like yesterday we packed Emily's mum's car with the kit and cloths and she drove us down to the church, where we found a remote spot and Lauren put the dress over her cloths while standing on a log as to not get it muddy. Emily put makeup on Lauren as well, then all 3 of us gathered her dress in her hand and moved her to some places around the church and graveyard. I only shot 6 different shots with that dress as I thought the battery in my camera was fully charged, but I was wrong and we did not bring a spare. This meant for the rest of the time I was taking BTS, even after I asked Emily to ask her mum if she could drop down a spare battery, which she said yes but never actually texted her. We started shooting at 15:30 and finished at 17:40, we didn’t shoot with a second dress as Emily didn't plan to shoot a second dress and Lauren needed to get back to shoot her own pictures. Emily's mum took us back to their house and Lauren mum picked her up and Emily's mum took me back to my house as the next bus wasn't until 19:00. I got back at 18:30.

Week 6

This week I shot in the shop while Emily took out cloths as and decided to make it a test shoot because it wasnt very good shops and there was a bunch of stuff everywhere as we where taking out the cloths. My dad drove me to the shop. Emily took the bus to the shop, and we met there. When Emily got there, I had already been there about 10 minutes signing a thing that the owner of the shop asked me to sign because I am 18 and therefore responsible for taking out the cloths and if they get damaged, I would be responsible. Anyway, dad dropped Emily at her house and we both carry all the cloths that we put in the car in Emily's house and then dad took me home. I also had a 1 to 1 with Chris about how far I am with FMP and what I havent yet done. Then I started writing my reaserch report of the last few hours before the half term sterted. I hired out kit, which I used on Saterday and Sunday for 2 shoots. 1st April, today I got my neighbour to drive me up to the Asda bus stop in Bodmin. There I waited for the bus which took me to Padstow. When it got to waidbridge, Lauren got on, so we walked down to Emily's house togeather. We got there at 12:30 where Emily was

Shoot day 3

Video BTS

4th April, today my dad dropped me off at the co-op in Waidbridge, there I waited for Emily dad to pick me up. When I got to the co-op Emily said she would be 5 minutes away. That 5 minutes turned out to be 20 minutes of me standing in the cold. As it turns out Emily's dad drove to Lauren's house first, which was quite annoying because, like I said before, it was freezing. Anyway, when he got to me at co-op, he then drove us all to Padstow. He picked me up at 10:20. We ended up actually filming at 11:30 because we were driving around the country fields for ages looking for a location, then when we got to the location we wanted to shoot at, Emily's dad took ages to leave because he was taking our food orders. He also asked the farmer of the field if it was OK to film and do photography in the field, which he said yes to. Anyway, Lauren got changed in the field and we finnally started to film and do some photography. We finnished at 12:30, even though she said the shoot would only take 30-40 minutes. Then we had lunch which took an hour and then went to the next location, but not before getting the next set of cloths at Emily’s house. Then we went to the duck pond, Emily put makeup on Lauren and after forgetting the actual dress and getting her dad to take her back and pick up the dresses, we started to film at about 14:00 and finished with that dress at 15:30. We then went to the beach with the bike that we took to with the previous location at the duck pond. The beach location was close to the duck pond, I had to put the bike in woven in the entrance to the beach so we could see it when we filmed. Lauren got changed into another dress and we did a few shots there. We started at 16:10 and finnished at 16:50. Emily's dad then picked us up and drove us to Waidbridge. I had to text my dad really quickly so he would leave and get to the co-op in Waidbridge. Luckily when I got there he was only 2 minutes away, so I didn't have to wait very long. I think tomorrow Emily is dropping some cloths off at the shop, so I will film there while Emily does this. However, saying that we have only shot 6 dresses, I think it would be a better idea to shoot some more dresses, then take some cloths back.

Shoot day 4

5th April – I shot in the shop but didn’t get any BTS because I was shooting alone, and it would have been very difficult to have taken BTS pictures of myself filming. Anyway, because I had left all my essential kit like, a charger for the gimble at Emily’s as we went straight to Weighbridge after we finished filming the previous day. Even though I said many times that if we were not going to film Wednesday and the woman who owns the shop was going to be there on Wednesday, I was going to shoot in the shop and I would have needed a charger to charge the gimble to film in the shop. Anyway, after about 1 hour of filming in the shop, my gimble started turning off by itself and running out of charge, so then I decided to do the interview with the woman who owns the shop, by filming her on the tripod I bought. I didn’t have any audio equipment, Emily had all that, like I said previously. So, instead, I used the audio recording on my phone to record and got the woman to write down the questions that I was going to ask on a piece of paper, so I knew what they were. It took a few takes, but in the 3rd take, I finally got her to say; “My name is Karen kettle, I own a vintage shop, located in weighbridge.” And when I said that was good, she was surprised at how little I wanted. Because previously she was rambling on and if I where to edit that, I would have had a really long promo and it would have taken forever to edit. Anyway, when we finished that, I texted my dad to pick me up and me and the woman talked for about an hour before he picked me up. Then we drove to Padstow, so I could pick up my kit as the next time I would have needed it to film, I would need the gimble charger, otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to film. So, I picked that up from Emily and then dad took me home. (Well not really, we went to Callington and spent 5 hours down there, so we could pick Tommy up at 8:00, then we went home.) I was going to go back at some point to film again, hopefully on a Wednesday that is her best day.

Shoot day 5

10th April, today dad drove me to Padstow, just before dropping Tommy (my brother) at his work. I got to Padstow at 12:00, just before Emily finished work. Her brother let me in and I waited for Emily to show up. When she got there we waited for Lauren which only took a few minutes. Then we got in her dad's car and Emily drove us to her grandads house. We then went up to the bedroom that we love to shoot in, Lauren got changed into the first dress and we spent 2 hours doing photography and filming Lauren in the first dress, which was our favourite one yet. Then Lauren got changed into a different dress and we went outside Emily's grandads house to shoot with that dress. We only took an hour to film and do photography in that dress. Then Emily's dad picked us up and drove us back to Emily's house where she put the 2 dresses back and picked up a 70s flare outfit. Then Emily drove us to the beach and we walked across the beach to the masive San dune that no one knows about. There Lauren put the flare outfit over her cloths and it started to rain. But not that much, we where able to film and do photography in it. This shoot took another hour, we shot quite quickly because it was quite cold for all of us. Then Emily's dad picked us up and Emily drove us to Waidbridge where my dad picked me up from the co-op and took me home, not before picking Tommy up from his work. Tomorrow we are not shooting but we may drop some of the cloths that we shot with already back at the shop and pick up the rest of the dresses and things that we are going to be shooting with later in the week.

Week 7

This week I went into College to hire out some kit for Emily and do some work on the computer there as my computer was refusing to turn on. We also did 2 shoots this week, one on Thursday - 4th April, today my dad dropped me off at the co-op in Waidbridge, there I waited for Emily dad to pick me up. When I got to the co-op Emily said she would be 5 minutes away. That 5 minutes turned out to be 20 minutes of me standing in the cold. As it turns out Emily's dad drove to Lauren's house first, which was quite annoying because, like I said before, it was freezing. Anyway, when he got to me at co-op, he then drove us all to Padstow. finally started to film and do some photography. We finished at 12:30, even though she said the shoot would only take 30-40 minutes. The second shoot was on Sunday - 10th April, today dad drove me to Padstow, just before dropping Tommy (my brother) at his work. I also shot in the shop on Wednesday, but because my kit was at Emily's as on the weekend my dad was in London watching the football, so I didn't shoot very much before the gimble ran out of charge. I did get the interview done however. That was quite funny because she was quite nervus and she sort of just talked about a bunch of things in the first take, none of which I could use unless she wanted to have a 10 minuet promo, but we did another 2 takes, then I told her to say, "My name is Karen, I own a vintage shop, located in Wadebridge." she said that and was very surprised and amused, that was all she had to say. Anyway, I will have to go back some other time to film in the shop, when the gimble is fully charged, perhaps next week, or on the Wednesday on the first week we go back to college.

Shoot day 6

Video BTS

13th April, today dad dropped me off at Padstow at to Emily's house at 10:00, for 1 hour we got the cloths and equipment that we would need when Robyn showed up at 11:00. Then me and Emily walked up to the Tesco where Emily told Robyn to meet us, she then drove us down to Emily's house. That was where we packed Robyn's car with all the dresses. Then we parked on the road, a little ways on from Pridoes place. Then we went to one of the fields and put some of the equipment in there, then Emily said she forgot the flowers at the house, so both Emily and Robyn went back to the car and Robyn drove back to Emily's house and picked up the flowers, while I stayed with the equipment in the field. When they got back, Robyn got changed into the dress and we spent about 30 minuets, filming and doing photography with her. Then after Robyn got changed out of that dress, we walked over to Pridoes place, told the woman that Emily emailed that we where there and got all the dresses from the car and put them in the roman temple, which was just up from the actual mansion. We then spent about 4 - 5 hours there taking pictures of 4 dresses in different locations around the grounds. We then went back to Emily's house and put a bunch of the dresses in the house, while Robyn but the 1940s trousers and jumper on upstairs. From there we walked down into the town and went in behind a building with red bricks. We then filmed and did some photography there for about 30 minuets, then we walked back to Emily's house and Robyn drove herself home in her car and dad picked me up at 6:20 and took me back home. The next shoot is on Saturday, hopefully we would get as much done as we did today, as today was very productive.

Shoot day 7

15th April, today dad drove me to Waidbridge really early to collect something from the shop that Emily wanted me to get for her, After I picked it up, dad drove me with the cloths that Emily wanted to Padstow. I got there at 9:20, I got there early because dad needed to take Tommy to Callington. Anyway, the space from when I got to Emily's and when Lauren got to Emily's gave us time to get the cloths from down stairs. Anyway, when Lauren got to Emily's, Emily's mum drove us to a really nice yet really cold cottage. There we shot 3 different outfits in one if the bedrooms and the front room. We finished in about 2 hours, which was quicker that what we had done previously. Then when we where finished, we got Emily's mum to drive us back to her house, where we dropped off the 3 outfits that we had just shot with and picked up a different outfit, then waited for Emily's dad to pick us up and take us to the lighthouse. When we got there Lauren got changed into the dress, really close to the lighthouse and we did some photography and film her in that dress. This took another hour. Then we walked back to Emily's dad and he took us back to the house where we dropped off that dress and picked up 4 dresses. Then Emily's dad drove us to a field and both Lauren and Emily got changed into an outfit. Emily set up a tripod and got me to take the picture, this took about an hour, then I filmed a bit with their costume and Lauren changed. I then took a few more pictures with them both as the model. Then Lauren changed again and Emily got changed into her normal cloths and took some pictures of Lauren in that outfit. When she finished, I then shot some of my own footage and then we were done, so we waited for Emily's dad and then packed everything up into his car when he got there. We finished at 16:40, much earlier than we previously anticipated. Anyway, Lauren left and then I got some things that Emily had gotten from the shop and hadn't used. I also barrowed some dresses that she had used already and gathered them in one place, so I could film with them Tomorrow or Monday in the woods. This is because I currently only have footage of dresses and some things in the shop, I was thinking of hanging the things I barrowed in the woods and trying out a few techniques that I got inspiration from my deconstructions. Anyway, dad picked me up at 17:30 and Emily helped me pack the car with the stuff I barrowed, then he took me home. That was the last shoot with Lauren. When we go back to college, I am planning to shoot in the shop, to film more of the things around the shop as last time my gimble ran out of charge. I am also planning to shoot in the studio, using the mannikins and Emily has also planned to shot with another model which I will also come along to.

Week 8

This week, we where supposed to shoot every day this week, but nothing ever goes the way I want it to when Emily's in charge. This week we shot 2 days, we shot surprisingly quite a lot of outfits, considering me and Emily have had previous conversations over text telling me we would be shooting 1 outfit in the space of 5 hours. But we where able to shoot 14 outfits with in 2 days. We did one shoot on Friday - 13th April, today dad dropped me off at Padstow at to Emily's house at 10:00, for 1 hour we got the cloths and equipment that we would need when Robyn showed up at 11:00. Also, my computer has been in repair for most of the easter, so I didn't get much done in terms of work because I didn't have my computer. But I was able to get it back Thursday and catch up on the basic things like update WIX and write my production diary's and edit some BTS videos on Premier pro, uploading them to YouTube and linking them to WIX. When I didn't have my computer, I had to write on my phone and edit reels of the BTS, then Screen shot them and wait for my computer to upload them to edit them on Premier pro, upload them YouTube and link them to WIX.

Shoot day 8

20th April - I shot in the shop again but like last time, I didn’t get any BTS because I was shooting alone, and it would have been very difficult to have taken BTS pictures of myself filming. This time I charged my gimble and I was able to film all I needed to in the shop. The day I filmed was a Wednesday and the day when I had college, but didn’t go in because Wednesdays are pointless days and the best day for me to film in the shop, is Wednesday according to the woman who ones the shop, so it works out quite well. My dad drove me there at 10:00 and I finished at 12:30. Because my gimble was charged, I got the wider pan shots that I needed to get of the shop, of the window and the interior of the shop, among other shots. Then I got some things out of the hire section that I was going to film in the studio and Emily was going to take pictures of the following day. I got a lot of hats, some gloves and some trinkets and the woman wrote down everything I got out. (Also, Emily was there for about 30 minutes at the beginning to pick up a bird cage, which I could have done myself, but she came anyway.) Then me and the woman talked for about an hour before my dad picked me up at 12:30. We loaded everything in the car and I drove home.

21st April - Today I packed the car with all the stuff that I got from the shop and the stuff I barrowed from Emily. Then we drove to college, which is literally just up the road as we live half way down the hill from the college and I carried as much as I could into college, then made another trip to get the massive box full of hats. Then me and Emily did our work up until 13:50 which was when Emily booked out the studio for. Then we brought everything that I took up to the college to the studio and because we didn’t have much time, we decided to do both our projects at the same time, so Emily got the product table and faced it towards the collared backdrops to do product photography with some of the trinkets and hats I borrowed from the shop and I used the black backdrop on the other wall and put a table with a black sheet over the top to film some of the trinkets and hats on. I needed a head to wear the hats, so I got Glades the ugly manikin, to shoot the hats on. I got really close up and I put the hat over Gladys’s face, so I wouldn’t have to edit her face out. This took 40 minutes, we only had another 20 minutes, so I got the table out of the way. I asked Chris who just came in to tell us we only had 20 minutes left to get a pair of legs from art, while I chucked a hat at one of the dresses. Then I dresses those legs in the trousers I bought from the shop and put the shirt and jumper on the body manikin and shot a static shot with those cloths in front of the black background. Then we packed up in the 5 minuets had left, while the next lot of people came in to shoot there thing. Then I got my dad to come to college at 15:50 to pick up the cloths and me, so we wouldn’t have to walk through a bunch of people at 4:20. I don’t really know when we are shooting next, but I think it is at some point next week with the singer woman who models vintage clothing.

Promo 1 - first cut

This is what came out of the first week of editing.

Week 9

This week, I filmed some of the stuff I Borrowed from Emily and filmed in the woods, but it didn't look as cinematic as I had hoped, so I didn't put any of the BTS onto WIX. Then on Tuesday I started editing my first promo. On Wednesday, I filmed in the shop for the 3rd time. Production diary - 20th April - I shot in the shop again but like last time, I didn’t get any BTS because I was shooting alone, and it would have been very difficult to have taken BTS pictures of myself filming. I will also continue to write my research report.

Promo 1 - final cut

I screened this cut to the first years and second years. In my second screening, I will have more edits to screen and it would be better for me to see which of the very difforent edits, people prefer.

Shoot day 10

28th April - Today I packed the car with all the stuff that I got from the shop and the stuff I borrowed from Emily. Then we drove to college, which is literally just up the road as we live halfway down the hill from the college. Then I went into to college and left the stuff in my dad’s car and he went back home. I stayed at college until 14:00 watching the second years and first years unfinished work. At 14:00 I waited for dad to pick me up and then he took me to Emily's house Padstow. When we got there, I unpacked all the stuff I had previously put in the car and put it in Emily's house. Then me and Emily got some things to use from her mum’s room and put it in the kitchen. Then we waited for an hour and then Emily's mum drove us with the kit in the car to Prides place. We then had a quick tour inside to show us where we could go, then we went back out to the car, to get the kit. On our way back with the kit, we met the model, who was early, even though she told Emily she was going to be late. We put all the stuff we brought in one of the rooms, while the woman got changed into the first outfit in one of the rooms and then started shooting. We spent 3 hours in the building and shot 4 different outfits, which were shot quite quickly. When we finished it was 5:45, which was earlier than we expected. I texted my dad to pick me up and I waited for him to pick me up while Emily showed me some of her favourite pictures. He picked me up at 6:30 and we went home.

This week I did a rough questionnaire on Forms for the first screening. I also started editing the second promo screening on the same day that we started the first screening. On this day I also screened, but I left to shoot in Padstow when they did the screening. We should be shooting in Bodmin on Monday and doing another shoot at some point in the studio with Robyn. We were going to do that shoot on Friday, but we think she must have forgotten because she didnt show up.

Shoot day 11

Video BTS

4th May, today we finally did a shoot in Bodmin!! Today Emily wanted me to come to college, but I had nothing to do at college only edit at home, but she kept wanting me to come in, but I kept refusing which must have really pissed her off, because we where texting about it for 2 hours from 6:00 to 9:00, until dad took me up to college to talk to her for about 10 minutes, which basically got nowhere as I had already said what I needed to over text. Anyway, when it got to 11, Emily went to tutor, but as I predicted, Bessy let her go early to film at the train station, so Emily just walked down to my house. So, as usual I was right, and she was wrong. Anyway, at 11 Emily walked down to my house after getting the bus into college and doing some work on the computers. We then got in the car and dad drove us down to the train station where Kirsty was waiting for us. She then got changed in the toilets after we told them we were here, as Emily got permission to film there a few days before. Then the Train station guard told us some good shots where we could film, and he told us we could shoot the train as it left as we were just on time to see it leave and we good some really good footage with that. Then Kirsty changed into another outfit, and we were allowed to shoot inside a train and although it was very cramped, we got some really good/ authentic shots in there. Then Kirsty got changed into her normal cloths and went to get a cake, while me and Emily then got dad to drive us up to the college. There, we found out how to get a visitor into college and got the stuff we needed out of dad’s car and then got into the studio, where we set up everything. Then we got Kirsty from downstairs who had just signed in at reception and took her up to the studio. There we shot with 3 different outfits. I had previously set up some disco light to shoot with, but Emily's set up was so good, I decided not to use them. After that, we packed up the studio and Kirsty went home. I then texted dad and he picked me up at 15:00, Emily stayed back until the end of the day and That is a Rap!!! hopefully anyway. Emily said we may have to shoot if the woman doesn’t like our products, but I mean they are very good, why wouldn’t she like them.

Week 11

This week we finally finished shooting when we did a shoot at the train station and in the studio, with Kirsty on Wednesday. Production diary - 4th May, today we finally did a shoot in Bodmin!! Emily said we may have to shoot if the woman doesn’t like our products, but I mean they are very good, why wouldn’t she like them. I also created the last 2 BTS reels on Premier pro, Exported and uploaded the video to YouTube, then linked the video to WIX on Friday. This was because my computer at home was playing games with me and I didn't know if I was going to be able to edit anything because my hard drive was turning off my computer when I would try to edit with it. But after talking with Blue, I will barrow Chris's computer on Tuesday and use it to Export my 2nd promo because he has the newer premier pro. Anyway, I think I would either use his computer to edit on or Export it and edit on the 2022 premier pro at college. I also exported the first test shoot edit which I should have done before the half term, but I did it because I had nothing to do, Emily didn't like the fact that I was using her footage and I had footage to make what I edited before half term, a much longer video.

Treatment - Updated

This was updated after seeing what Blue had wrote and adding some bits of my own which she had let out or didn’t  acknowledge when we had the discussion.

Promo 2 - Third cut

Week 12

This week I didn't have much to do, I edited the 3rd cut of the 2nd promo on Chris's computer and didn't finish it on purpose so I would get feedback from when I screened all three of my promos on Friday and would have something to finish next week. On Wednesday I went to the shop and gave all the things that I had from the shop to her and she told me that when I sent her the link to my first promo, she said she liked it so much she showed all her colleagues at work and her family. She said it was really professional and I said to wait for the second one because I was really proud of that one. I also uploaded another updated treatment as I didn't read what Blue had written until this week. When I did I added some things that I thought she missed out in red writing as the target audience that she was writing about was very difficult to define because it was so broad. I also wrote some more in my research report and uploaded an

Production Schedule

unfinished version to WIX as are teachers are going to be looking through our WIX next week for any work that we haven't uploaded which we should have and my research report wasn't finished because I was doing promo's and I had no idea what to write in promo's which Blue was aware of and helped me by writing some notes that I should add in my report. Next week I am going to finish those last two promos, send all three of them to the woman who owns the shop and all the models and ask them if I could post them and put them on YouTube. Also next week I am going to finish my evaluation and when Blue gets back to me with something that I may or may not need to change in my research report I will upload a finished version of it, if needs be.

Week 13

This week I exported and uploaded the final cut of my 3rd promo to YouTube and sent the link to the woman who owns the shop and do the same with my 2nd promo which was the last cut I sent to the woman who owns the shop. I also sent all the links to the models and asked them if I could post them on Instagram and YouTube. This week, I also Edited and uploaded to YouTube all the footage I shot, but because my premier pro is being annoying, I had to edit 9 different edits and speed all the footage up to allow it to export on premier. I also uploaded 2 research reports this week, which were updated. This was because I was asking both Chris and Blue to look at it and they didn't until Blue looked at it at the end of the week because they where busy marking everyone's work, so I uploaded an unfinished version, thinking they where not going to mark it and then I uploaded a second one when Blue sent me the bits that she changed. I also Uploaded the unfinished evaluation as Blue said we needed everything on there and I was sort of finished, I just need
