Unit 12: Documentary

4th February, today I had to film some extra recreation clips on my own at home, so it would make the documentary shorter. It doesn’t make much sense, but if I film some more and add it onto the interview, I can cut down the bits where my grandad pauses or says; “and um.” Anyway, that went fine, I filmed it all within two hours, I looked at a piece of paper that I used to write down what I needed to film the previous day, after watching and rewatching the edit, I got all of them filmed, apart from 1 which I will have to film another time, if I feel it is necessary.

6th February, today we went to Grandads house to talk about when we were going to go to London, to find out more about my grandad’s dad and where he went during the war, to inable grandad to follow in his footsteps and go on a pilgrimage. In that time, I asked grandad to look through some pictures that grandad had. I spent the whole 3 hours looking through his many, many boxes of pictures I ended up looking through some pictures with my aunt, who helped me explain who people in the pictures were. At the end, when dad eventually took me home, I sent myself the pictures on email to put on the edit the following day.

8th February, today at the beginning of the day, I filmed a few last minuet recreation clips, that I thought of the previous day when I was watching and re-watching the documentary and writing down on a piece of paper things, I could re-create to make the documentary shorter. This went fine, I got everything that I wanted to film done. I did most of this at home, apart from when I went to Morison’s to film my dad picking out some flowers which went fine, no one said I couldn’t film there without permission. I did this from 8:00 to 11:00, then my dad drove me up to college to go to tutor which was pointless as usual.

The shorter version refused to Export, the only proof of the longer version is in the print screens.
Evaluation
Grandad Documentary - Shorter version
30th of March - Finnally it has exported the shorter versio. After a few months of trying many, many times to export the shorter version of my docuentary, I finally did it. I had to use Chris's computer, but I did it. Saying this, I would have to re-export this on Chris's computer after the easter holidays because 2 pictures are the wrong size and one of the last pictures move wrong and it makes the pictue look odd.
